Pertubuhan Bangsa Melayu Filipina President Tuanku Marieta Nor Aisa Mindalano Adam, Maharanee Permaisuri Mindanao Darussalam and Twin Rams Media CEO / Pertubuhan Warisan Bangsa Melayu Filipina Secretary-General Yang Teramat Mulia Tengku Jadeeyah Abang-Adam attended the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the Malaysia Philippines Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, April 1, 2023 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
This MoU between the Malaysia Philippines Chamber of Commerce (MPCC) and the Pertubuhan Bangsa Melayu Filipina (PBMF) aims to promote tourism and cultural exchange, as well as business and economic growth between the Philippines and Malaysia. This will connect Filipino workers to job opportunities in Malaysia and help facilitate franchise business development between the two countries.
In an interview on NET25’s ASEAN in Focus segment, the PBMF President emphasized the importance of giving attention to Filipino workers, farmers, and cultural exchanges.
The PBMF Secretary-General also added to her mother’s statements, saying, “. . .we want to foster potential exchange, not only on education, language, culture but also through exhibits, because I think it’s really important for our generation, especially the younger ones.”
The MoU signing is also joined by several other organizations and collaborators, including the United Nations World Peace Association, Nusantara Culture and Heritage Council, Pertubuhan Generasi Digital Malaysia, Projasa Innovative Sdn, Worldwide Wellness Club, Agrouniversal Resources, and Twin Rams Media.
The Pertubuhan Bangsa Melayu Filipina is a non-government organization based in Mindanao whose primary goal is to promote the welfare, rights, and empowerment of the Malay race in the Philippines. They strive to support the Philippine Malay community through various advocacies, educational and outreach programs, and community-building initiatives. The PBMF also aims to raise awareness of the shared heritage and history of the Malay people, and to address the challenges and issues that affect them, such as discrimination, marginalization, poverty, and lack of representation.
